Home Remedies for Eczema - Best Natural, Herbal Homemade Remedies for Baby Eczema

Eczema Home Remedies

Eczema is a persistent,itchy skin condition consisting of skin dryness and inflammation (manifested by redness of the skin, crusting and thickening of the skin). This section provides a list of effective home remedy for Eczema. Some general remedies that are beneficial in curing baby Eczema are:

1. Rub a nutmeg against a smooth stone slab with a little water and make a paste. Apply to affected eczema area. 

3. Boil mustard oil in a big vessel, put neem leaves into the boiling oil and boil for ten minutes. When the oil cools down strain the leaves out of the mixture & store the oil in a bottle. Apply this oil regularly on the affected area.

5. The juice of green leaves of finger millet are proved to be valuable in treating chronic eczema.

Some other effective and commonly used homemade remedy/ Treatment for Eczema are listed below:


** Neem (often called the wonder herb) has been extremely effective in curing acne, eczema treatment, eczema cure and other diseases of the skin.

** Add 1 tsp camphor to 1 teaspoon sandalwood paste and apply on the areas affected by eczema.

** When there is a fresh patch of dry eczema, applying freshly made ghee (from cow's milk butter only) and washing the area well a number of times, relieves the itch.

** After a winter of central heating, dry itchy skin can be soothed by adding a couple of large handfuls of finely milled porridge oats to your bath (make sure you put a strainer over the plug when you let the water out). Oats are a traditional remedy for eczema, inflammation and sun damage. Camomile can be very soothing too - add two or three tea bags to your bath.

These remedies for eczema are just few thing you can adopt to cure and treat eczema.
